EMMA is one of the world biggest car audio competition in the world. We have entry EMMA Hong Kong last month and we have won 5000EU master class 1st place and 1500EU Entry class 2nd place

Both the enhanced version and the normal version use H12-level HEPA filters, and the biggest difference is that the normal version uses nanocrystals, while the upgraded version uses an activated carbon layer.

These are the common types of car cabin air filter

In recent years, the public demand for better air quality, especially parents with children at home are paying extra care to PM2.5 and various volatile organic compounds (VOCs). In this article, we would introduce the material and function of different types of car air filters.

-       Particulate Cabin Air Filter  (regular filter)

 -       Charcoal Cabin Air Filter

It comprises the normal porous material as the main medium and a layer of charcoal to absorb microscopic contaminants.

 -       HEPA cabin air filter

 -       Electrostatic Cabin Air Filter

 -       Activated Carbon Cabin Air Filter

 -       Nanocrystalline air filter

Over time, cabin air filters can fill up with harmful contaminants and may no longer serve their purpose. The air volume into your passenger compartment will be continually reduced which will lead to the issue of foul odors inside your car.

It is important in changing the cabin air filter regularly.

The cabin air filter acts as the first line of defense in intercepting dust and pollutants from entering the vehicle’s ventilation. Over time, cabin air filters can fill up with harmful contaminants and may no longer serve their purpose. Hence, it is important in changing the cabin air filter regularly. the air inside the vehicle maybe worse than outside

An air cabin filter is an important component in any vehicle's heating and cooling system. It helps protect the passengers from contaminants in the air they breathe. As different countries are facing haze in recent decades, it raises the concern of the public about the damage caused by air pollutants and Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to the respiratory system.  The cabin air filter in a vehicle helps remove harmful pollutants, including PM2.5, from the air you breathe within the car.

Activated carbon has different usage and it is widely used in different fields like air purification, sewage treatment, metal extraction and medical treatment. Activated carbon contains a large amount of aldehyde functional group (C=O) and carboxyl group (COOH) which lead to certain degree of hydrophilicity and function of adsorbing organic compounds that are caused by the presence of hydrogen bond. One gram of activated carbon With a surface area of more than one thousand square meters, hence, it possessed the ability to remove organic substances.

An activated carbon air filter is made up of a conventional filtration medium and a layer of activated carbon or charcoal. Activated carbon is simply a special type of charcoal whose properties to absorb gases are higher. The material is usually produced by heat-treating charcoal and impregnating it with chemicals.

Carbon air filters remove pollutants from the air with a process known as adsorption. The process of adsorption allows carbon air filters to filter organic chemicals (gases) from the air.

HEPA stand for High-Efficiency Particulate Air, is an efficiency standard of air filter. Filters meeting the HEPA standard must satisfy certain levels of efficiency. Common standards require that a HEPA air filter must remove from the air that passes through—at least 99.95% of particles whose diameter is equal to 0.3 μm.

Why do you need it?

HEPA filters help add an extra layer of protection for you and your family, helping to filter out more of the pollutants in your indoor air. The question is, do you really need a HEPA air filter in your car or is a standard air filter enough to keep your family breathing easy year-round?

HEPA filters can provide many benefits to your family. These filters are specially designed to trap more of the harmful pollutants that enter your carbine, keeping more contaminants from entering the air and impacting carbine air quality. These filters are a great option for those with weakened immune systems who may feel a more significant impact from air pollution, such as small babies and elderly family members. They can also make it easier for those with respiratory conditions or issues breathe easier year-round.
